Recently, a certain mascot horror game has been making the rounds on the internet due to how god awful it is. That game is Garten of Banban.

ah yes. peak horror game, where everything is an asset flip and the gameplay lasts 5 minutes but lengthened.

I don't have to go on about how the game is bad. There are plenty of videos showcasing what the game offers (or doesn't, in this case). What caught my attention was the movement of artists essentially saying "fuck it, I'll do it myself and better". I've heard it called "anti-fan art" where unofficial works are made of some creative media not due to love for the media, but due to spite.

I believe the main progenitor of this wave of Banban anti-fan art was this:

I think this movement is incredibly interesting but I neither have the time nor the stones to be able to discuss this in depth. I am just a gamer, not a social psychologist nor a geographer. So instead, I'll just showcase some of the more high quality and interesting anti-fan art of Banban.
